The Scottish novelist R.L Stevenson wrote in 1883 a fantastic book about pirates ,Treasure Island.
In Treasure Island a young boy, Jim Hawkins, tells us what happens to him and some friends when he finds a map that ,of course, leads to a hidden treasure. The Adventures of Tom Sawyer by Mark Twain is a popular 1876 novel about a young boy that lived in a small town along the Mississippi River, where Mark Twain grew up. According to the author, "Most of the adventures recorded in this book really occurred".
