Wars between Greek cities stopped when the games began every four years.

Getting to know the Celts
The Iron Age Celts were a tribe of people who lived all over Europe about two thousand years ago. At one time, you could find tribes of Celts in modern day Spain, France, northern Italy, and as far east as Russia. Around 500 BC, the ancient Celts migrated and settled in modern day Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and the Isle of Man.
The Celts were a proud and honorable people. They were fierce warriors. But they never founded an empire. They never built cities. They lived in small farming communities.

They loved music. And they loved to make up stories, especially stories about the little people - FAIRIES, ELVES, LEPRECHAUNS.... Their culture lives on today in MUSIC, STORIES, and SONGS.

English Cultural Week. April 26 - 29.
During the last week of April our students worked on different topics about the English life and culture, such as festivals, famous people, UK history...
They also did some quizzes to improve their knowledge
There were different workshops on board games, learning with songs, treasure hunts and stories.
Here you can have a look at some of the activities.
They made their own board games and then they played with them.
Some interesting Treasure Hunts about Harry Potter, Michael Jackson or Stephanie Meyer (American author of the Twilight Saga).
